Certified Divorce Coach, CDC®
Director, National Alliance for Targeted Parents
Before you jump into your divorce, it’s important to remember that you’re not alone. Join Colleen Honquest, Certified Divorce Coach, and Kay Johnson, Director of the National Alliance for Targeted Parents, for the Divorce Coalition Book Club and engage with other divorcing individuals as you discover what you need to know to successfully navigate your divorce in a supportive environment.
The Divorce Coalition Book Club meets online on a bi-monthly basis. In general, participants should plan to read about three chapters of the current book to stay current with the group discussion. Sign up below to receive your invitation!
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Reminders will be sent the day before the meeting.
In our first session, we will be discussing the Quick-Start Guide and the first 2 chapters of the book, “Splitting”, by Bill Eddy and Randi Kreger, available for purchase on Amazon. This book is important for anyone who is divorcing a difficult or abusive individual. Bill Eddy and Randi Kreger have written a legal and psychological guide to safely navigate a high conflict divorce (heavily litigated in court) from an unpredictable spouse. Bill Eddy is a lawyer, therapist, and divorce mediator, and Randi Kreger is coauthor of the classic, “Stop Walking on Eggshells”. This book can be used as a guide to help you work through the process of divorce in an emotionally balanced, productive way. It will help you to protect yourself from manipulation, false accusations, and abuse.
We are breaking the book down into manageable sections of just 3 chapters at a time. Divorce is stressful and life gets busy. Discussion will be focused on the main teachings of each chapter and how they can be applied to your situation. There will be time for written questions and comments throughout the meeting. This will NOT be a forum to share personal stories as time will be limited.
Please sign up to participate and empower yourself with knowledge that can help to change the outcome of your divorce. We hope to see you online.
